Kansas Jayhawks QB Jalon Daniels leaves game with injury

LAWRENCE (Kan.) -- Kansas quarterback Jalon Danis left the No. 19 Jayhawks' match against No. 17 TCU after he sustained a shoulder injury in the first half.
After the game, which was a 38-31 defeat, Lance Leipold, Kansas coach, stated that Daniels is still being assessed.
TCU's 17 yard line had Daniels facing a third-and-6. He scrambled to his right and was tackled by Jamoi Hodge for 5-yards. After appearing to have fallen on his right shoulder, Daniels took a while to get up.
After being taken to the injury tent, he was then taken to the locker room. Daniels had completed 5 out of 10 passes for an 89 yard touchdown, and Kansas was trailing TCU 10-3 at the half.
Redshirt senior Jason Bean began the second half for Kansas in Daniels' place. Daniels did not return but was seen sitting on the sidelines with his right arm covered under a hooded top.
Daniels had completed just 68% of his season's passes, with 11 touchdowns, an interception and 335 rushing yards. He also had five rushing touchdowns.
In the team's first loss, Bean put in a strong performance. He completed 16 of 24 passes for 262 yard and four touchdowns. Bean played in the team's 10 first games last season.
