According to a Crunchyroll press release, the second season of the highly anticipated anime — which hasn’t had any new episodes since its debut in 2020 — picks up the story of Itadori Yuki, a teenager who willing ate the finger of an evil entity called Ryomen Sukuna thus allowing for him to reside in his body.
The manga on which the anime is based off of follows Yuji as he gets wrapped up in a quest to get all of Sukuna’s fingers in an effort to destroy him completely, all with the help of a organization of jujutsu sorcerers who are well-adept at taking down similar entities — known as curses — large and small.
Season two will focus both mainly on the backstory of characters Gojo Saturu and Geto Suguru, a pair of jujutsu sorcerers who take dramatically different paths.
All new episodes will be streamed exclusively on Crunchyroll, which hosts the first season as well as the movie “Jujutsu Kaisen 0.” Dubs for season two will be produced in English as well as Spanish. The release of those will be announced at a later date.
