Jeff Okudah Traded to Falcons

Cornerback Jeff Okudah, the No. 3 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, has been traded to the Atlanta Falcons. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Detroit Lions will receive a fifth-round pick in exchange.

Okudah, who was selected by the Lions after a standout three-year career at Ohio State, appeared in eight games in his rookie season. He recorded 29 tackles and two passes defended during his time with the Lions.

The Falcons will now have the opportunity to develop Okudah into a top-level cornerback. This move could also have significant implications for the Falcons' salary cap situation, as Okudah was set to count for over $7 million against the cap in 2021.
