OC Parks hosts ‘Hocus Pocus’ drive-in movie nights and free virtual Halloween ‘Spooky Series’
Since the pandemic shut down OC Parks’ annual in-person summer concert and film events this year, producers have decided to go virtual for a series of fun Halloween events via its official Facebook and Instagram pages.
The daily virtual series will run from Oct. 26-31 and include crafts, trivia, highlights from county parks and the OC Zoo and a special Shakespearean “Macbeth” scene will be filmed at Arden: Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens to be shown on Oct. 30.
The activities will wrap up with a special virtual performance from local rock cover band Past Action Heroes starting at 4 p.m. on Halloween.
However, leading up to the event, OC Parks will also host special drive-in movie screenings of “Hocus Pocus” Oct. 23-25 at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley. Tickets are $10 per vehicle and go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 at OCParks.com.
