Halsey Teases Upcoming Tour: 'I Really Like Putting on a Big Show'

Halsey stopped by The Tonight Show to discuss their forthcoming tour, the For My Last Trick tour, which kicks off in May.
“I really like putting on a big show,” Halsey told host Jimmy Fallon what fans can expect from the 32-date trek. “I think people are usually pretty surprised when they come to see me in concert, especially if they only know me for the songs on the radio. The show can be quite, like, aggressive. Like, I’m like a little demon. I get out there and have to exorcise some stuff.”
Halsey added that the tour is themed around magic, with the singer acting as “a magician’s assistant.” “You can cut me in half, and I get to wear the cute outfits,” they teased.
The musician told Fallon that they had missed being on the road. The For My Last Trick tour marks Halsey’s first time touring since 2022’s Love and Power tour.
“I love touring,” Halsey told Fallon. “It’s hard to get me home, to be honest. It’s just part of your brain, you have to be out there performing. I toured for, like, eight years straight. And then, you know, there was Covid, and then I got pregnant, and then I got sick, and I was home for a while, and I was just like, ‘Can I go back?’”
Elsewhere in the interview, Halsey discussed their engagement to actor Avan Jogia, which they recently revealed on social media. The singer recounted how Jogia planned a surprise anniversary trip to Barcelona before proposing on a boat.
“We were out in the water, and I was thinking, ‘I think I’m going to get proposed to this week,'” Hasley recalled. “But I didn’t think it was going to happen at this moment because we were both like sun-drunk and, you know, it was that stage where you’re in your bathing suit, your belly is out, and you’re eating food. It wasn’t a sexy thing. And we were sitting next to each other and he was like, ‘Come down on the floor.’ And I was like, ‘Okay.’ So I got down on the floor of this boat and he pulled out the ring and he showed it to me. It shocked me!”
Halsey added that when Jogia pulled out the ring, he asked, “What’s a little bit of marriage between friends?” Halsey then responded, “Yeah, I’ll do a little bit of marriage with you.” They added, “I would prefer to do a lot of it.”
The For My Last Trick tour begins in May with 32 dates scheduled through July. The musician will be joined on select dates by Del Water Gap, the Warning, Evanescence, Alvvays, Hope Tala, Sir Chloe, Royel Otis, Flowerovlove, Magdalena Bay, and Alemeda. An artist presale will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. local time with additional presales running throughout the week. General onsale will begin on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. local time.
