Full Circle Cast & Character Guide

Full Circle is the latest addition to Max, a miniseries that follows two families, fraud inspectors, and a kidnapping gone wrong. Created by Ed Solomon and directed by Steven Soderbergh, Full Circle debuted on the streamer on July 13, andfeatures a talented, well-known cast who bring their talent to embody a slate of colorful characters, each of whom becomes embroiled in a scintillating mystery.

Full Circle is a crime drama that brings thrills and twists to its fascinating storyline, bringing together a plethora of characters who would have otherwise not crossed paths had there not been some history and secrets between them. The miniseries premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival and consists of six episodes. Full Circle has already received a mostly positive reception from critics, who praised the cast’s strong performances. The thriller boasts a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Claire Danes and Zazie Beetz, among several others, and they bring their characters to life as the story unfolds over the course of the limited series.

Zazie Beetz as Mel Harmony

Mel Harmony is a US Postal fraud inspector who investigates a kidnapping linked to trafficking. Mel is portrayed by Zazie Beetz, who is best known for her roles in Atlanta, Nine Days, Deadpool 2, Joker, Bullet Train, Black Mirror season 6, The Harder They Fall, and the Prime Video animated series Invincible.

Claire Danes as Sam Brown

Sam Browne is a lawyer and wealthy Manhattanite who oversees her father’s, Chef Jeff’s, business. Sam is played by Claire Danes, who is best known for her roles in the long-running TV series Homeland, My So-Called Life, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, Stardust, The Family Stone, 1998’s Les Misérables, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and Fleishman is in Trouble.

Timothy Olyphant as Derek Brown

Derek Browne is Sam’s husband, who is also overseeing Chef Jeff’s business. Together, they’re helicopter parents to their shy son Jared. Derek is portrayed by Timothy Olyphant, who is best known for his roles in the popular TV series Justified, Deadwood, the Prime Video series Daisy Jones and the Six, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Live Free or Die Hard, Olyphant also played Cobb Vanth in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Dennis Quaid as Jeff McCusker

Jeff McCusker is Sam’s father, and a celebrity chef who has made millions selling hot sauce. Jeff is portrayed by Dennis Quaid, who is best known for his roles in The Parent Trap, The Day After Tomorrow, Far From Heaven, the TV show Vegas, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the 2011 remake of Footloose, Traffic, on which he also worked with director Steven Soderbergh, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

CCH Pounder as Savitri Mahabir

Savitri Mahabir is a Guyanese immigrant who wants revenge for the death of her brother-in-law, and she has a plan to do it. Savitri is played by CCH Pounder, who is best known for her roles in the hit TV series The Shield, James Cameron’s Avatar and its sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, NCIS: New Orleans, Sons of Anarchy, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Pounder also voiced the character of Amanda Waller in the video game Batman: Arkham Origins and its follow-ups.

Jharrel Jerome as Aked

Aked is Savitri’s nephew, who works with her in a bid to kidnap Sam and Derek’s son. Aked is portrayed by Jharrel Jerome, who is best known for his roles in When They See Us, Moonlight, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Boots Riley’s acclaimed series I’m a Virgo, and Concrete Cowboy.

Phaldut Sharma as Garmen - Garmen is Mahabir's lieutenant. Phaldut Sharma is best known for his roles in EastEnders, Children of Men, The Wedding Guest, and The Personal History of David Copperfield.

Jim Gaffigan as Manny Broward - Manny Boward is also a US Postal fraud inspector and Mel Harmony’s boss. Comedian Jim Gaffigan is best known for his roles in The Jim Gaffigan Show, Hot Pursuit, The Ellen Show, 13 Going on 30, Super Troopers, and American Dreamer.

Ethan Stoddard as Jared - Jared is Sam and Derek’s son. Before his role in Full Circle, Ethan Stoddard appeared in an episode of Mysteries at the Museum.

Gerald Jones as Louis - Louis travels from Guyana to work with Aked. Gerald Jones is best known for his roles in Vampires vs. the Bronx and the Disney+ movie Chang Can Dunk.

Sheyi Cole as Xavier - Xavier also works with Aked and Mrs. Mahabir in a plot that involves Jared, Sam, and Derek. Sheyi Cole is best known for his roles in Boxing Day, Small Axe, and a guest appearance on Atlanta.

Adia as Natalia - Natalia is Aked’s ex-girlfriend, assisting him in kidnapping Jared. Adia is best known for the Netflix series The Midnight Club, which was cancelled after one season.

Lucian Zanes as Nicky - Nicky is a boy Jared meets online before he is kidnapped. Full Circle is Lucian Zanes’ first major role in a TV series.
