Frozen Fruit Recall

A recall has been issued for frozen fruit sold at Target, Whole Foods, Walmart and other stores. Consumers are advised to check their freezers for the following products:

• Good & Gather Organic Cherries
• and more

The recall was issued due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, muscle aches, and gastrointestinal issues.

Consumers who have purchased any of the affected products are advised to dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall at this time.
