Although the Monegasque has a mathematical chance to stop Max Verstappen, his Dutch rival is likely in Japan.
Leclerc sees the campaign's end as an opportunity for Ferrari to improve on areas that were weak this year, rather than feeling like it was a waste of effort and the title gone.
He believes that his Maranello bosses should use this opportunity to ensure that their race strategies are perfect after it has made some mistakes over the course 2022.
While he was disappointed to lose the Singapore Grand Prix victory, he appreciated the fact that Ferrari had timed its pitstops correctly.
He said, "I want to use the last few races to improve on the execution of race, especially, but I feel like it is a step forward this Saturday."
"We must take other steps forward. It's a positive step in the right direction. I'm happy about that, but frustrated by the second.
Principal of Ferrari team Mattia Binotto said that the Ferrari team had done a great job in Singapore on the pitwall, trying to be aggressive against eventual winner Sergio Perez.
He said, "I believe that we made the right choices." "We were among the first ones to mount slicks in a time when the track wasn't completely dry. This choice forced Perez to stop. We tried to change the course of the race by doing this.

Leclerc finished second and Carlos Sainz was third. This was the first time that Ferrari had two cars on the podium since the Miami GP in May.
Sainz believed that the team had learned a lot through the mistakes made this year and could build more strength in the coming weeks that could help it to 2023.
"It's great news to see that both sides executed the race well," said the Spaniard. "While there are still many things I believe we can improve upon and do better, the team is making huge strides forward.
"We learn from every situation. Charles said that these last five races or the last six counting with this race are great preparation for next year.
"It's obvious that the car is there, and the drivers, we are there. We just have to improve the execution and, whenever we have the opportunity, nail them.
