DeMarcus Cousins Wishes He Was Never Drafted by the Sacramento Kings
DeMarcus Cousins was selected fifth overall in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. Now, ten years later, the veteran center is expressing regret for the decision, wishing he had never been drafted by the team.
Cousins played six seasons with the Kings, becoming a three-time All-Star and two-time Olympian. But, despite his individual success, the team never made the playoffs during his tenure. He was eventually traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017.
He is now with the Golden State Warriors, who are on a quest for a three-peat title. Cousins is eager to add a championship to his resume, but he will never forget his time in Sacramento and the disappointment he felt at the Kings' inability to make a postseason appearance.
