Dead Island 2 Release Time

Dead Island 2 is the highly anticipated follow-up to the zombie-hunting original title Deep Silver's Dambuster Studios made in 2011. With an initially planned drop date in 2015, there have been several roadblocks leading up to the game's release, including studio changes and delays, but it will finally drop in April 2023.

The story takes players to a zombie-ridden Los Angeles, where they fight to survive as one of the six playable characters or with friends using the online co-op features. Gameplay features include heavy melee combat, semi-open world exploring, unique new weapons, and tons of zombie variants. The main goal is to kill as many zombies as possible while trying to escape the large city of Los Angeles. Dead Island 2 is releasing on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its release date is April 21st, 2023, but some players will get access to the zombie slasher a day early due to time zones.

Dead Island 2 is set to drop on April 21st at midnight ET across all platforms in North America. All other North American time zones get it on April 20th at the following times: 9:00 PM PT, 10:00 PM MT, and 11:00 PM CT. Those in Europe, Asia, and Australia will get Dead Island 2 at midnight on April 21st, 2023, their local time.

Dead Island 2 is available now for pre-order across all supported platforms. Players who already own the game and want to get a head start on downloading can pre-load on Xbox consoles starting April 3rd, 2023, and on PlayStation consoles April 19th, 2023. Unfortunately, there is no pre-load option on PC. The file sizes for Dead Island 2 on all platforms are listed below:

The PC requirements for Dead Island 2 are listed on the Epic Games Store. Players must have at least an AMD FX-9590 / Intel Core i7-7700HQ as the minimum processor. For graphics, it is recommended that they use a Radeon RX 6800 XT (16384 VRAM) / GeForce RTX 2070 Suer (8192 MB). Players will also need an Epic Games Store account to purchase and play Dead Island 2.

Dead Island 2 will launch on April 21st, 2023, and is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
