2023 Daytona 500: Live updates, highlights, results for The Great ...
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The sands of time that have now run through 75 years of NASCAR racing, down to the most minuscule grains, are the sands of Daytona Beach. As the very birthplace of NASCAR itself, the sands of Daytona were the site of some of NASCAR's richest and most prestigious early races and later the foundation of both the Daytona International Speedway and stock car racing's greatest event.
The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, as it always does, begins with the 65th annual running of the Daytona 500. The single biggest race in NASCAR and one that needs little introduction, the Daytona 500 is the sort of spectacle that can single-handedly shape and define a driver's career --as it did last year when Austin Cindric immediately transformed from Cup Series rookie to Daytona 500 champion.
Cindric looks to go back-to-back this year in a field that includes seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson in his return to NASCAR, Kyle Busch with a brand new team, and Kevin Harvick in his 22nd and final Daytona 500 among the many drivers seeking glory in The Great American Race.
The Daytona 500 begins at 2:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Fox and streaming on fuboTV (try for free).
