Chicago Fire vs. New England Revolution (9/22/21) - MLS | How to Watch, Start Time


On Wednesday night, fans will get a chance to watch the best team in Major League Soccer continue its quest to push for history, and be in the conversation of best regular season team in league history, as the New England Revolution take on the Chicago Fire.
The Revs come into Chicago with a 17-4-5 record, with their 56 points 10 clear of the second-best team in the league, Sporting Kansas City. They are currently on pace for 73 points, which would break the record for most points in a single season, set by Los Angeles FC in 2019. They have been doing their part to work towards the record, having only lost once in their last 13 matches, going 10-1-2 in that span.

The Fire have not had the best season compared to their Eastern Conference opponents. They head into the contest with a 6-14-5 record, currently 12th-best in the East. While they are technically eliminated from playoff contention yet, Chicago has a lot of work to do, and a lot of help needed, if they want to make it to he playoffs for the first time since 2017.
This is the second of three meetings between the two clubs, with their first meeting back in their respective season openers ending in a 2-2 draw.
