Chicago Bears Latest Transfer
Kicker Michael Badgley was added to the Bears' practice squad on Saturday, September 1, 2022, and later promoted to the active roster in time for Sunday's away game against the Giants.
On Tuesday, September 27, the Bears signed linebacker Joe Thomas off of their practice squad and placed receiver Byron Pringle on injured reserve.
Ihmir Smith-Marsette, a receiver, was claimed off waivers by the Bears from the Vikings on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Minnesota selected Smith-Marsette from Iowa in the fifth round of the 2021 draft. He made eight appearances with one start as a rookie, catching five catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns. The majority of the output came during the Bears game in the season finale, when Smith-Marsette had three receptions for 103 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown.
