Cavs fan brings house down after draining 10000 halfcourt shot
During the Cavs and Nuggets game, a fan knocked down a halfcourt shot to win $10,000, and everybody got hype for him.

The second best part about going to an actual basketball game is seeing people take the halfcourt shot for money. More time than others, the fans usually don’t make the shot, but when they do, everybody gets excited for them. That’s what happened during the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets game when a fan knocked down the shot to win $10,000.

From the looks of the video, it seemed like it didn’t take long for the fan to hit the shot, and the two mascots and announcer came over to congratulate him immediately. If nobody else hits a halfcourt shot for the rest of the season, this Cavs fan will be remembered for what he did.

Besides the halfcourt shot, there was still a game to be played, and the Cavs came out with the win against the Nuggets 126-114. Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 28 points, and the Cavs came out early and put their stamp on the game. The Nuggets have shown this season that they’re not a team to easily roll over, especially with Nikola Jokic playing the way he is. Though he finished with 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists, it wasn’t enough to get the Nuggets the win.

As a team, the Cavs shot nearly 50 percent from the field, and the story of their season has been their efficiency from the perimeter which is why they’ve been able to dominate teams. After the game, head coach Kenny Atkinson and Mitchell spoke about the Cavs’ offense.

“Starting to be real,” Atkinson said via Cavs reporter Ryan Lewis. “This deep into the season, you have to respect our shooting. … We’re generating good shots. Shot quality, I think we’re one or two in the league.”

“I think what also helps are the actions, the spacing, the way we’re moving, our pace,” Mitchell said. “That’s not predictable. You never know where each guy is going to be. I think that’s what really helps. … We have a lot of guys that can shoot the ball really well, but we also have guys that can get into the paint and create, so now you’re able to mix both of those things. It’s tough to guard.”

The Cavs are showing teams they’re ready to compete every night, regardless of who the matchup is. They’re the first team to hit the 20-win mark this season, and with the way they’ve been playing, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they finished with the best record in the league.
