Brazil vs Tunisia result, score: Neymar, Richarlison, Raphinha score goals in face of latest racist incident

Brazil vs Tunisia result score Neymar Richarlison Raphinha score goals in face of latest racist incident
In their last tuneup match before the 2022 World Cup, Brazil walloped Tunisia 5-1 in Paris as the Selecao had to endure another racist incident. Neymar scored one of the goals, moving closer to the all-time Brazil record held by Pele.

Brazil is the No. Brazil are the No. 1 team in the world, and they are the favourites to win the 2022 World Cup. They proved why with a 5-1 victory over Tunisia, a fellow World Cup participant, at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

After seven matches without a goal, the African side was down 4-1 and down one man at halftime following a straight red for Neymar's foul.

Raphinha scored two goals, Neymar scored a penalty and Richarlison found the back of his net within the first 45 minutes. Richarlison's goal celebration was captured on video. A banana was thrown in the player's direction by the pro-Tunisia crowd. They also used laser pointers and whistled during Brazil anthem.

This racist gesture was made in response to the recent global headlines about the racism suffered by Vinicius Jr., a Brazilian player who was visiting Spain with Real Madrid. Vinicius Jr, a Brazilian player, vowed to continue his dance celebrations in protest of the racism and other Brazilian players joined him in a gesture to show solidarity.

Brazil danced in Paris on Tuesday night and added a fifth goal through Pedro, their backup forward. Tunisia, the No. The No. 30 team in the world, which at one point had tied the score at 1-1, had only a few attacks in the second half. Brazil managed to comfortably manage the match the rest of the way, adding a raft substitutes.

The Brazilians will begin their participation in the World Cup by playing in a Group G match against Serbia, on Nov. 24, before facing Switzerland (Nov. 28,) and Cameroon (12 Dec. 2). Tunisia will open against Denmark on Nov. 22 in Group D play, which will also include Australia and France.

Brazil's weak spot

All you have to do is take a look at Tite's Brazil squad list. It's so deep, that the question of Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal's forward in-form, making the World Cup squad is a media debate.

Flamengo's Pedro can now be added to the list of players who have a valid case for travelling to Qatar. He's a different type forward than Gabriel Jesus and he played against Tunisia.

But Tunisia may have exposed Brazil's Achilles heel which — no surprise — is on the defensive side of the ball. This was evident by the Tunisia goal on a set-piece header. Brazil had to scramble when Tunisia attempted quick transitions. Brazil will be beaten in Qatar if they want to win.

Latest racist incident targeting Brazilians

Despite all the goals, the stars and the quality of the match, the match will be discussed because of an incident that had absolutely nothing to do.

Spanish football is still coping with the fallout from the racist behavior of some Atletico Madrid fans towards Real Madrid's Brazilian stars Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo. However, the duo and their Brazilian teammates were subject to another incident. Richarlison was hit with a banana thrown from the Parc Des Princes stands during Rodrygo's goal celebration.

Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, was present at the stadium and will be briefed about it. It is unclear what, if any, the consequences of this incident on a neutral ground (the Parc des Prince, Paris) that was attended by a partisan Tunisian crowd.

Neymar nears Brazil record goal mark

Neymar was the centre of the action and, although he didn’t score during the play, he did get his 75th goal in Brazil via a penalty kick. It was one his trademark spot kick attempts, with a casual run up and a side-footed finish.

The 30-year-old PSG star was playing on his own field and is now only three goals away breaking Pele's record for 77 career senior international goals.

Neymar becomes 15th player to achieve 75 international goals in men’s soccer.

Halftime: This's what you get if you make Brazil mad. First, there was a chorus of fans who chanted Brazil's national anthem. Then came laser pointers and finally, bananas were thrown onto the field following Richarlison’s goal. These videos quickly spread across social media.

The Brazilians are scoring, dancing hard and looking for more goals in the face of all this. It's clear that they want the crowd remember this game. The treatment of the crowd is likely to sting even more for Neymar and Marquinhos who call Parc des Princes home.

It is not often that Brazil scores four goals in the first half. They are motivated and you can bet on more goals against a team that has not conceded a goal in seven matches.

It is amazing to think that the Brazilian side stood up against racism in the pregame. They wore jackets that did not have Brazil's five stars, which represented their five World Cup titles. The banner they held up read: "Without their Black players, wouldn't we have stars on our shirt?"

3rd min.: That was unexpected. Neymar gets whistled on his home ground, the Parc des Princes. A large Tunisian crowd is present and they are clearly the loudest side in Paris. As their team passes it around, they even do the "ole" chant. Tunisia is the home team.

1st min.: We're off and it's immediately notable that Danilo is playing in midfield, appearing to be partnering with Casemiro, with Brazil going with three center-backs. We'll see if that continues.

2 minutes before kickoff: Anthems have been played, handshakes have taken place, and we are only moments away.

60 minutes from kickoff: Neymar will chase the Brazil scoring record. This will be another storyline for the night.
