Statement from President Joe Biden on Shooting at Apalachee High

Jill and I are mourning the deaths of those whose lives were cut short due to more senseless gun violence and thinking of all of the survivors whose lives have been forever changed by this tragedy. Our hearts go out to the entire Apalachee High School community as they navigate this difficult time.

It is imperative that we come together as a nation to address the epidemic of gun violence and work towards creating safer communities for our children. We must take action to prevent these senseless tragedies from happening in the future. Our thoughts and prayers are with the students, faculty, and families of Apalachee High School.
