Zach Bryan is experiencing his own "American Heartbreak" amid a breakup from Brianna Chickenfry.
The "I Remember Everything" crooner announced his split from Chickenfry, whose legal name is Brianna LaPaglia, on his Instagram story on Tuesday.
"Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with (each other) and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I'll always thank her," Bryan wrote.
He continued: "I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna's privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too."

Bryan ended his note by telling fans that "with everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself."
Brianna Chickenfry 'blindsided' by Zach Bryan split
Shortly after Bryan's announcement on Instagram, LaPaglia responded with a message of her own for fans.
"Hey guys I'm feeling really blindsided right now," she wrote on her own Instagram story. "Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately, when I'm ready I’ll be back and ready to talk."
"I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be OK," she added. She told followers in a YouTube video that she had "no idea" that Bryan was posting his statement and he didn't text her, telling viewers she was "blindsided" and she's been "crying for five days straight."
"How can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally, like through stuff that you shouldn't, … how can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and be discarded of in a few days?" LaPaglia wrote, telling fans she didn't want to talk about details and "right now, I wanted to heal privately."
She asked fans to respect her privacy and said she would provide an update soon. LaPaglia also thanked people for kind messages amid being "hurt" and shared that the pair broke up on Monday.
Before Bryan posted on his story Tuesday, his ex-girlfriend shared a message Monday on Instagram that hinted at her next chapter: "And eventually you'll find that life goes on, even if you don't want it to," her note said. "The days will pass and the world will move while you ask it to stop. You'll believe life is cruel for continuing on while your feet are stuck."
She continued: "The world keeps on spinning in hopes of showing you that you can as well."
Zach Bryan, Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia were involved in car crash, attended Grammys together this year
In May, the pair shared that they were involved in a "side-by-side" car crash, the podcast personality announced on social media, taking to TikTok to recall the "traumatizing" incident.
"It flipped a bunch of times, everything shattered and thank God we had our seatbelts on," she said of the crash, which happened two nights prior. "But there was a lot of blood and we thought we were saying goodbye to each other."
Bryan, who is currently on his Quittin Time tour, got a "huge gash" stitched after the ambulance arrived. The pair also delighted fans when they attended the 2024 Grammy Awards in February to celebrate the singer's three nominations, including for best country album, and subsequent win for "I Remember Everything" with Kacey Musgraves.
