(Gray News) - Beyonce made history again.

The superstar’s single, “Texas Hold ‘Em” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. This makes her the first Black female artist to top the chart, according to the publication.

“Texas Hold ‘Em” snagged over 19.2 million official streams and 4.8 million in an all-format airplay audience and sold 39,000 in the U.S. The song was released after being announced in a Verizon commercial that aired during Super Bowl LVIII, teasing her next album expected to be titled Act II, which follows her Renaissance World Tour.

According to Billboard, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are the only solo female artists who’ve achieved a No. 1 debut on the Hot Country Songs chart.

This achievement comes after many country radio stations refused to play her songs on air. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a user shared an email from the Oklahoma radio station that said they didn’t play Beyonce music because it was a ‘country’ station.

Following the refusal, fans called on county radio stations across the U.S. to play the new songs. KYKC General Manager Roger Harris said on Wednesday he tracked down the song and agreed to play it after receiving calls, emails and requests to play it, The Hill reports.

Along with “Texax Hold ‘Em” her duo single “16 Carriages” rides in at No. 9. on the chart.
