United Kingdom Which historical Auburn team would be most fun in new EA Sports NCAA Football?
The news that all college football fans and sports gamers have been waiting for for quite a long time came on Tuesday when EA Sports announced that they will be releasing a new NCAA Football game in the future.
If you haven’t played the game before — and why on Earth haven’t you? — it is one that can keep you up at night worrying about the game plan for your top 10 matchup between Kent State and Colorado State while also trying to land that 5-star recruit from Texas that all the blue bloods are going after.
The announcement had me thinking this: which Auburn team from the past would be the most fun to play with for a season on the game? Well, let’s take a look at some candidates and you can vote at the end.

Pros: Can you imagine how opponents would react when John Heisman came out with the Tigers with what was an early form of a “hurry-up offense?” And, while the Heisman Trophy wasn’t a thing back then, it is now and having the man that the award is named after would go a long ways in some player winning it.
Cons: The travel schedule would be unbearable.

Pros: Having a defense at your disposal that didn’t allow a point all season? Yes, please.
Cons: Anytime you gave up even a field goal to an opponent, you’d feel like a total failure.
Pros: An amazing 18 players off this team eventually got drafted into the NFL. That’s a lot of talent for the 1950s.
Cons: The team had a postseason ban so we are sure the electronic version of the College Football Playoff committee would throw a hissy fit about letting Auburn in.

Pros: Bo Jackson. I repeat, Bo Jackson. Oh my heavenly days having Bo Jackson in a college football game would be the undoing of my social life which, at this moment, already is bad enough.
Cons: The inability to schedule Miami 12 times for the season to take it out on the Hurricanes and the pollsters for fraudulently stealing a national title away from the Tigers.

Pros: Okay, this one is just personal to me because I would absolutely love to have Dameyune Craig at quarterback and Takeo Spikes at linebacker.
Cons: Terry Bowden would somehow take credit for each win.

Pros: Probably the best overall team in Auburn history, you’d have Jason Campbell, Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown in the backfield and a defense that was some of the hardest-hitting guys I have ever seen in a Tigers uniform. Dear Lord, this team was amazing.
Cons: The people at EA Sports probably would figure out a way for this team to never get its shot at the national title and put in a bug.

Pros: Cam Newton at quarterback? Check. Nick Fairley along the defensive line? Check. A freshman Michael Dyer putting up yards in large numbers on the ground? Check.
Cons: Do we really want to mess with perfection?

Cons: Absolutely none. One SEC win and you do better than this team did.

Pros: Running the hurry-up, no-huddle in all its glory and freshness would provide nightmares for opposing defenses as Nick Marshall fakes out yet another defender for a wide-open touchdown run.
Cons: Georgia might have finally learned how to knock down a pass and Alabama might have finally found a kicker.
