'Things happen': Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have called it quits, Steve Harvey confirms

After days of rumors surrounding Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey's relationship status, Steve Harvey is revealing the truth — the couple has broken up.

Harvey addressed the reports Monday on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" after his co-host asked him if he'd heard about the split and how he feels about it.

"I heard about, I wish them well. I'm Team Lori 1000%, she's my daughter, I love her, I support her," Harvey said. "Things happen, it's hard to be young and in the limelight and have a successful relationship."

Harvey also praised Jordan saying "he's still a cool guy from what I know. It's a breakup … people break up all the time." The "Family Feud" host joked that he's also been through breakups before and if there's anything he could learn from his children it's to "get out early before it costs you."

"I'm going to have to start breaking up on IG because going to court is costly," Harvey added.

Lori Harvey and Jordan were officially dating for just over a year, making their romance Instagram official on Jan. 10, 2021, after being spotted out together in late 2020.

Earlier this year, Jordan professed his love for Harvey on social media.

"I love her," Jordan posted in February on Instagram alongside a photo of the model. "And I love youuuu," she gushed back in his comments. 

Since the commencement of their relationship, the pair has shared multiple milestones together.

For their first Valentine's Day together in February 2021, Jordan went all in with an extravagant plan for the evening: He rented out an aquarium and filled the place with flowers and candles, Harvey showed off on her Instagram story. The two had dinner from celeb favorite Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant Nobu while sitting in the aquarium tunnel, and Harvey later revealed that her Valentine bought her Hermes stock as a gift. 

They most recently rang in the 2022 New Year together and captured the moment in steamy pics posted to Instagram, which Steve Harvey joked made him uncomfortable.
