Denmark guard Freya Jensen commits to Iowa State womens
Freya Jensen, a 5-foot-11 guard, announced her commitment to Iowa State on Sunday.

STANFORD, Calif. – Hours before taking the floor against Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Iowa State women’s basketball team picked up a recruiting win.

Freya Jensen, a 5-foot-11 guard from Denmark, announced on social media Sunday her plans to play for the Cyclones. Jensen is a member of the class of 2025. She made an official visit to Iowa State in February.

She needed to make five flights just to get to Ames for her visit. During the trip, she raved about the Iowa State fan base she’d heard so much about.

Jensen now gets to be a part of it. She will give the Cyclones a strong shooter, especially from beyond the arc. Jensen played in the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship in 2023, averaging 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
