Beyoncé’s 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, celebrated her acting debut last night—and dressed like the daughter of entertainment royalty she is for the occasion. The star-in-the-making arrived with her parents, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, to the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere in Los Angeles, wearing a custom gold ball gown by Christian Siriano.
She wore her hair down in curls and kept her makeup warm and gold-toned. Beyoncé reprises her role as Nala in the Disney prequel film, while Blue is plays her and Simba’s daughter, Kiara.
Much like her mother, Blue knew how to work the cameras in her gown:
Inside the premiere, Blue changed into a glittery gold minidress and joined her mother onstage with the cast of the film. People shared footage of the moment on Instagram:

You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
Beyoncé spoke recently about Blue in an interview with GQ. The outlet asked her if she was hesitant to include her oldest daughter in her public life, especially after Blue performed as a dancer on Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour.
Beyoncé responded, “Blue is an artist. She has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”
