FC Barcelona official announcement

FC Barcelona hereby announces that, as of today, the Espai d'Animació (Animation Space, EDA) at the Estadi Olimpic, Montjuïc, has been suspended due to the failure of its member groups to heed certain obligations they had agreed upon with the club.

Given the terms of the agreements accepted and signed between the club and its animation groups, FC Barcelona, after repeated warnings, initiated the process for payment of the fines imposed on the club due to the behaviour of these fans on the terraces last season. This behaviour resulted in up to fourteen disciplinary actions for violations of the current regulations in this section of the stadium. During this process, the groups were granted up to three separate deadlines to meet their obligations, the last of which expired at midnight yesterday without any resolution.

As previously announced to these groups, since they have failed to fulfill their obligations within any of the deadlines provided, FC Barcelona has decided to indefinitely close the Espai d'Animació. The club also reiterates its full willingness to engage with the groups in question to discuss the EDA’s situation once they have met their obligations.
