Mahogany Roca from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days thinks that Ben Rathbun is “different” than the man she was talking to online, but she also refuses to address the lies she told him before and after they finally met. Fans predicted that 90 Day Fiancé franchise star Mahogany from B90 would be a scammer ever since they saw her heavily edited selfies with filters in the B90 trailer. Some even declared that Mahogany was not a real person, believing that someone else was using her photos to trick Ben. When Mahogany ended up meeting Ben face to face, her rehearsed actions and exaggerated accent gave fans weird vibes. Since then, fans think that Mahogany has been dishonest many times.

Owing to her strange beginnings, fans suspect that her storyline with Ben is fake. She later revealed how she often talks about marriage and children with potential partners before jumping into a relationship.

What she did with Ben shouldn't have inspired him to assume that he and Mahogany could get married. Also, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days has yet to confirm why Mahogany took a $1000 loan from Ben when her family appears to be well-off and she has a job with a decent salary. Mahogany also claimed she was too shy to get on video calls with Ben when there are photos of her in swimsuits on the Internet. Before his shocking arrest, Ben did an interview where he defended Mahogany and her lies. He said that B90's Mahogany uses filters for fun and that she might have lied about her address because she was talking to a strange man online. Mahogany’s lies have been swept under the rug by Ben, who eventually did end up becoming her boyfriend.
