Footage Of Backstage Altercation Between CM Punk amp Jack Perry At
AEW airs footage of the infamous backstage altercation that took place between CM Punk and Jack Perry at All In.

Footage from the AEW All In physical altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry was shown on the April 10th episode of Dynamite.

During the April 6th episode of Collision, a graphic was shown onscreen which stated that The Young Bucks would show footage from All In for the first time and give their thoughts on what took place inside Wembley Stadium. While some at first thought this might be a parody sketch from the Jacksons, Fightful Select later confirmed that this would be the real footage.

The segment began with The Young Bucks backstage, who were playing into their storyline rivalry with FTR. Providing context beforehand and discussing their upcoming match against FTR at AEW Dynasty, which will see the winners be crowned the new Tag Team Champions, The Bucks then looked back at their last match with the Jacksons, which took place at All In after the altercation had occurred.

The former Tag Team Champions then referenced the events that led to the “incident” that took place backstage. Naming the “The Scapegoat” Jack Perry by name and referring to Punk as “the other individual” and someone who is “good friends with FTR”, the Bucks claimed that FTR may be the masterminds behind the incident to purposely throw them off their game before the title match.

The EVPs claimed that the incident put them off their games and blamed it for their loss to FTR at All In. The footage, which was described as “a high school scrap” then aired, which was obtained from Wembley Stadium security cameras.

With no audio playing, Perry is seen backstage before Punk walks into view. The two exchange words before Punk shoves Perry and places him in a chokehold. Monitors are knocked before both men are separated with Samoa Joe and Hook Perry to one side while Chris Hero and Jerry Lynn. Punk is also seen pointing and shouting to individuals behind the monitors, who is believed to be Tony Khan, but can’t be seen. Punk then walks out of the shot as the footage cuts off.

Footage of the altercation has been removed from the YouTube clip and has not been uploaded to any of AEW’s social media channels.

The altercation launched an internal investigation that saw Punk fired from the company with cause and Jack Perry suspended. Punk would return to WWE and Perry currently competes for NJPW while still signed to an AEW contract.

Tony Khan Explains Decision To Air Footage Of CM Punk & Jack Perry

With the incident taking place back in August 2023, many questioned why AEW chose to air the footage in April 2024, more than 6 months after the altercation took place. Back on April 1st, CM Punk appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani and made a number of negative comments about AEW and Tony Khan, which many believe the airing of the All In footage is in response to.

Prior to Dynamite going on the air, Tony Khan conducted an interview and explained why now is the right time to air the AEW All In footage.

Now that the segment has aired, Dave Meltzer has criticised the angle.
