Cops search for gang members in Bronx teen's murder by machetes

The NYPD on Friday released photos of several men suspected of stabbing a 15-year-old Bronx boy to death with machetes.

The victim Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz got into an argument with the men outside Cruz and Chiky Grocery on the corner of E. 183rd St. and Bathgate Ave. at around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Five men — at least two with their faces wrapped in shirts — dragged him outside and attacked him, stabbing him in both sides of his neck. Guzman-Feliz was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.

Cops released a photo of a white vehicle and a dark-colored sedan at least two of the suspects were seen entering.

"They are actively investigating several promising leads and have gotten several tips from the public that they are working right now," a senior police official said Friday.

"He was just a 15-year-old boy who hadn't started living. These were grown gang members," Cathy Jimenez, 20, a close friend of the family, said Thursday.
